Join MyrtleBeach.com and friends for the inaugural Myrtle Mile event on November 3, 2018! The Myrtle Mile will include races for everyone!
Races will include walkers, families, pets, runners, pro-runners, and elite runners.
This unique night race boasts a flat and fast course along the iconic strip of Ocean Boulevard, with views of popular attractions like the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel and the Gay Dolphin.
At the end of the race, participants will celebrate with a fun filled festival, including live music, food trucks, vendors, and beer (for those over 21)!
Races include:
•Fun Run: The Fun Run is perfect for walkers, families, and kids who want to enjoy the race but don’t necessarily want to compete. Those participating in the Fun Run can focus on going at their own pace and enjoying the excitement of the event.
•Kid’s Competitive: Are you the fastest kid on the Grand Strand? Here is your chance to prove it. This race is for kids ages 10-17.
•Dog Jog: Round up Fido and head down to Ocean Boulevard for the Dog Jog! All pets are welcome for this race. Bring your dog, cat, or even your iguana!
All runners must complete the course in 20 minutes or they will be removed from the course.
•Corporate: Gather up your coworkers and join the corporate race for great team building experience!
Corporate Teams will consist of a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 10 participants. The official team will consist of a combined time of the top 3 runners from each Corporate Team.
•Open Division: This is for all runners who can run under a 10-minute mile.
All kids must complete the course in 10 minutes or they will be removed from the course.
•Competitive: Experienced runners will compete in this 1-mile race along Ocean Boulevard. Do you have what it takes to win? This race is recommended for runners who can run a sub 8-minute mile.

•Elite: Are you the fastest of the fast?! Prove it! Pro and elite runners will compete for prize money and bragging rights at the inaugural Myrtle Mile.
Elite Males need to have a time of 4:10 or faster.
Elite females need to have a time of 4:45 and faster.
The prizes for the top Elite male and female runners are as follows:
•1st Place: $1250
•2nd Place: $700
•3rd Place: $300
$25,000 Bonus for Breaking 1-Mile World Record. Prize is eligible for Male and Female Elite Runners. All Elite Runners must be registered by November 1 to be eligible for the $25,000 Bonus. Runners eligible for all prize money must not be on Doping Sanctions list.
